Hi, I’m Kaelan.

I’m a digital media creator, photographer, and marketing student with a passion for telling stories through visuals. I’m currently studying Interactive Media Technology at Indian Hills Community College, where I’ve been building skills in content creation, social media strategy, and design.

Creativity has always been a big part of my life. I spent 13 years dancing, and that’s really where I learned how to express emotion, movement, and storytelling skills I now bring into my photography and digital work. Over time, that passion evolved into picking up a camera, and what started as something fun quickly turned into something I wanted to pursue more seriously.

Today, I run my photography brand, Flicks by Kaelan K, where I focus on capturing moments that feel real, energetic, and meaningful, especially in sports, dance, and action photography. I love being able to freeze moments that people can look back on and feel something from.

Alongside photography, I also work in digital marketing and content creation. As a Digital Media & Marketing Intern with Oskaloosa Main Street, I’ve gained hands-on experience creating social content, promoting community events, and helping bring ideas to life through strategy and design. I enjoy the balance of creativity and strategy understanding not just how something looks, but how it performs and connects with an audience.

I’m especially interested in helping small businesses and brands grow their presence through intentional, engaging content. Whether it’s through photography, social media, or design, my goal is always the same: create work that stands out and makes an impact.

When I’m not behind the camera or working on content, you can usually find me editing photos, brainstorming new ideas, or finding inspiration in everyday moments.
